Evolve (verb). To develop gradually by a process of growth and change.

Change is an inevitable condition of life. Sometimes we want and desire change. Sometimes, changes, for better or worse, happen to us. And sometimes, we may feel something is just not right, but we have no clue as to why. So, whether you are seeking change, change found you, or you feel stuck, I welcome you to therapy.

Therapy is a process where a comfortable relationship is formed between two experts. I will bring the therapeutic expertise and you bring everything you know about you, as there is no greater expert on the topic of you. We identify the good and work together to change what needs to be improved. We evolve you into your best possible self.

I received my Bachelor degree in Psychology in 1992, and completed a Masters in Counseling in 1996. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1999, and I became a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in 2019. My career experience began with treating substance abuse, and I have subsequently worked with foster children, within psychiatric hospital settings, as well as in private practice. I employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Humanistic Therapy techniques. I also apply concepts of the Polyvagal Theory, logic, critical thinking, and philosophy to the mix. Apart from my experience as a psychotherapist, I refer to the lessons I have learned as an Emergency Medical Technician, Investigator of Elder Abuse, powerlifter, Crossfit athlete, mountain biker, yoga practitioner, world traveler, photographer, and as a parent. I recognize that my own history with experiencing others and facing the challenges of life has taught me valuable lessons that will continue to inform my work.

I work with children, adolescents and adults. I also offer couples therapy. My areas of specialty include grief, depression and bipolar disorders, addiction, anger management, spirituality and relationship issues.
